We conducted a survey amongst over 150 SaaS solutions (see http:/www.saas-guru.net), and collected testimonials from leaders in the software industry in order to better understand the means and ends of free SaaS. Freemium? Trials without commitment? What are the expectations of such an offer? To what end, what goal? What are its results and consequences?
